ClinConnect Summary

The University of Central Florida is starting a clinical trial called the CereBank to help researchers study brain diseases and injuries. This project aims to collect samples, like blood and tissue, from participants to improve the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of various brain conditions. Brain diseases can be caused by genetics, aging, or injuries, and having a dedicated biobank in Central Florida will help researchers with important studies that could benefit many people.

To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and able to provide informed consent, which means you understand what you are agreeing to. If someone can't give consent themselves, a legally authorized representative can help. Unfortunately, minors, pregnant women, and prisoners cannot join this study. If you choose to participate, you can expect to provide some biological samples, which will be used for research purposes, helping to advance our knowledge of brain health.
