ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of different types of brain stimulation combined with cognitive exercises on people with dementia. Researchers want to see how using various frequencies of electrical stimulation can improve thinking and memory over a treatment period of four weeks, followed by a break of twelve weeks. Participants will randomly receive different types of stimulation, and they can listen to their favorite music while doing the exercises, which makes it more enjoyable.

To join the study, participants need to be between 18 and 90 years old and must be able to read, write, and speak English well. They should have a specific score on a memory test to ensure they can participate effectively. However, people with certain conditions, like Parkinson's disease or severe mental health issues, cannot take part. Throughout the study, participants will be asked to avoid changing any medications and will not be involved in other studies for dementia at the same time. This trial aims to find out if this treatment can help improve cognitive function in individuals with dementia.
