ClinConnect Summary
The Patient Blood Management Implementation in CEE Study is researching how hospitals in Central Eastern Europe can better manage patients' blood during surgeries. The study aims to collect information about the resources and training needed to improve blood management, especially for people at risk of losing blood during their operations. This research is particularly focused on patients who are having planned surgeries that have a medium to high risk of bleeding.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for a surgery that could lead to moderate or significant blood loss. Unfortunately, those who are pregnant, under 18, or having emergency surgeries won't be able to take part. If you join the study, you will help researchers understand how to improve blood management practices, and you may receive additional support and care related to blood management during your surgery. This could help improve your overall experience and safety in the hospital.
