ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the immediate effects of Whole Body Vibration (WBV) therapy on balance, walking, and the ability to perform multiple tasks at once in people with type 2 diabetes and peripheral neuropathy, a condition that affects nerve function in the feet and legs. The researchers want to find out if WBV can improve balance and sensory function, which are important for preventing falls and injuries in diabetic patients.
To participate in the study, individuals must be between 40 and 75 years old, have type 2 diabetes, and score within a specific range on a questionnaire assessing their neuropathy. They should also have controlled blood sugar levels and be able to walk independently. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will receive WBV treatment while the other will not. The study will measure their balance and walking abilities before and after the treatment. This research aims to help understand how WBV can improve quality of life for those living with diabetes-related complications.
