ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two types of nerve blocks, called the PENG block and the SIFICB, to see which one works better for patients with hip fractures during surgery. The goal is to find out how these blocks can help patients be more comfortable while getting a specific type of anesthesia (numbing medicine) and how well they manage pain after the surgery.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be between 40 and 80 years old and have a hip fracture. However, people who cannot safely receive spinal anesthesia, have allergies to local anesthetics, severe nerve issues, or certain mental health conditions will not be able to take part. Although the study is not yet recruiting participants, those who join can expect to help researchers understand how to improve pain management for hip surgery, which could lead to better recovery experiences for future patients.
