ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new way to help preserve the bone in the jaw after a tooth is extracted, which is important for placing dental implants later on. The study will compare two methods: one group of participants will receive a special bone graft made from their own extracted tooth combined with a medication called Simvastatin, while another group will receive just the bone graft without Simvastatin. This combination aims to improve bone healing and growth, helping to prevent bone loss after tooth removal.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 20 and 45 years old and have a non-restorable single-rooted tooth that needs to be extracted. You should be in good health and free from conditions that could interfere with healing. Participants will be monitored for four months after the procedure to see how well the bone heals. It's important to know that people with certain medical conditions, allergies to Simvastatin, or those who smoke heavily will not be eligible for this study. This trial aims to provide valuable insights into better methods for preserving jawbone health.
