ClinConnect Summary
The "Reach Through Equitable Implementation in Utah" trial is designed to help people quit using tobacco, such as cigarettes and chewing tobacco, especially those living in areas of persistent poverty. The study aims to improve access to proven tobacco cessation programs through a combination of text messaging support and community health workers. Participants will receive helpful information and resources to assist them in quitting tobacco if they haven't enrolled in the available Quit Services four weeks after their visit to a participating clinic.
To be eligible for this trial, you must be at least 18 years old, currently use tobacco, and live in a specific low-income area. You should also be able to speak English or Spanish and have a valid cell phone number. If you join the study, you can expect to receive text messages with support and resources to help you quit smoking or chewing tobacco. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and everyone is welcome to join, regardless of gender.
