ClinConnect Summary

The PRIMI trial is a study looking at whether a smartphone app can help new mothers who are first-generation migrants lead healthier lives after giving birth. The app aims to encourage better eating habits and more physical activity, while also providing helpful health information. The researchers will invite 200 women who have recently given birth (within the last six months) to participate. These women will be divided into two groups: one group will get access to the app for six months, while the other group will wait before using the app. The main things the study will measure include how well participants eat and how active they are, along with other health-related factors.

To be eligible for this study, women must be at least 18 years old, have given birth in the last six months, and be able to understand health information in Arabic, Somali, English, or Swedish. However, Swedish-born women and those who had their babies more than six months ago cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect to receive support and resources tailored specifically to your needs as a new mother, helping you to improve your health and well-being during this important time.
