ClinConnect Summary
The Glaucoma and Retinopathy Screening Study is a clinical trial designed to find out if a new way of screening for glaucoma—an eye disease that can lead to vision loss—works effectively. This new approach uses artificial intelligence to analyze pictures of the back of the eye, measures eye pressure, and checks side vision with a special headset. The goal is to improve the screening process and catch glaucoma earlier.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be adults aged 35 and older who have diabetes and are already being screened for diabetic eye issues using a specific AI-based system at primary care centers. If you join the study, you will have an image of the back of your eye taken, your eye pressure measured, and possibly a side vision test. It's important to know that the trial is not currently recruiting participants, but it aims to help improve eye care for people with diabetes in the future.
