ClinConnect Summary
The HEART trial is a study focused on understanding the heart health of patients who have experienced an acute ischemic stroke, which is a type of stroke caused by a blockage in blood flow to the brain. This trial is looking to gather important information that can help doctors better assess the risks and outcomes for these patients and develop effective treatment strategies. If you or a family member has had an acute ischemic stroke and are hospitalized, you might be eligible to participate in this study.
To join the trial, you need to be at least 18 years old, provide written consent, and have been diagnosed with an acute ischemic stroke confirmed by brain imaging, all within 24 hours of the stroke symptoms starting. Participants will be monitored and assessed to help researchers learn more about how to improve care for future patients. It's important to note that pregnant or breastfeeding individuals cannot participate, nor can those involved in other interventional studies. If you decide to take part, your contribution could help shape better diagnosis and treatment options for others facing similar health challenges.
