ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two medications, Ciprofol and Propofol, to see which one works better for children undergoing a common surgery called adenotonsillectomy, which involves removing the tonsils and adenoids. The trial will randomly assign participants to receive either Ciprofol or Propofol during their anesthesia, which is the medicine that keeps them asleep and pain-free during the surgery. Researchers want to find out how effective and safe Ciprofol is compared to Propofol when monitored using special techniques.
To be eligible for this trial, children must be between 3 to 11 years old, weigh between 13 to 50 kg, and be in good health (classified as ASA I/II). Unfortunately, children with recent respiratory infections, certain health issues, or allergies to medications cannot participate. If a child joins the study, they will receive either Ciprofol or Propofol during their surgery, and the doctors will closely monitor their safety and how well the anesthesia works. This research could help improve anesthesia care for children in the future.
