ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring a new way to detect a protein called HER2 in women with high-grade serous adenocarcinoma of the ovary, a type of ovarian cancer that can be very aggressive. The study aims to understand how HER2 levels might affect treatment options and outcomes for patients. Researchers will look at existing tissue samples to find the best methods for testing HER2 and will also observe how well targeted HER2 therapies work in patients who have limited treatment options due to their cancer being resistant to standard therapies.

To participate in this trial, women must have a confirmed diagnosis of high-grade serous ovarian cancer, have samples from their biopsies taken within the last five years, and be at an advanced stage of the disease (stage II or above). Participants can expect to contribute to important research that could help improve future treatments for ovarian cancer. This study is currently seeking participants and aims to provide a clearer understanding of HER2 detection, which could lead to better targeted therapies for patients in the future.
