ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how often patients experience difficult intubation during septoplasty operations, which are surgeries to correct a deviated nasal septum that can cause breathing problems. The study aims to identify factors that might make intubation more challenging, especially for patients who also have issues like obstructive sleep apnea or facial asymmetry. By understanding these factors, doctors hope to improve planning and preparation for surgeries, ensuring a safer experience for everyone involved.
To participate in this trial, patients must be between the ages of 18 and 65, in good health (classified as ASA-I or ASA-II, which means they have minimal or no health issues), and need to be undergoing general anesthesia for septoplasty surgery due to nasal obstruction. Participants will be closely monitored and assessed for any signs of difficult intubation. This study is not yet recruiting, but it is an important step toward enhancing the safety of surgeries related to nasal breathing issues.
