ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the use of Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET) to help people with Psychomotor Disadaptation Syndrome (PMDS), a condition that can make it hard for individuals to maintain balance and can lead to a fear of falling. The trial aims to find out if using virtual reality can improve balance and reduce the fear associated with falling in patients diagnosed with PMDS.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be diagnosed with PMDS, be able to stand without help, and have specific scores on balance and mental tests. The trial will involve assessments to see how well the virtual reality therapy works in improving balance and reducing fear of falls. It's important to note that individuals with certain disorders that could interfere with virtual reality experiences will not be included in the study. This research is still in the planning stages and has not yet started recruiting participants.
