ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring a new treatment approach for women with stress urinary incontinence (SUI), which is a condition where leaking urine occurs during activities that put pressure on the bladder, such as coughing, sneezing, or laughing. The study will involve 10 women aged between 20 and 45 years who have not found relief from other treatments and are waiting for surgery. The researchers are investigating the safety and effectiveness of a combination therapy using platelet-rich plasma (a substance derived from the patient's own blood) and PDO threads (a type of thread used in medical procedures) to help improve their condition.

To participate in this study, women must be nonpregnant and have a history of SUI that has not responded to previous treatments. However, certain health conditions could prevent someone from joining, like ongoing infections, blood disorders, or certain types of medications. If eligible, participants can expect to receive the new treatment and be monitored throughout the study to see how well it works for them. This trial is taking place at Al-Azhar University and is currently looking for volunteers to help advance understanding and treatment options for stress incontinence.
