ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at a new way to help adults with urinary tract infections (UTIs) stick to their antibiotic treatment. Researchers want to see if using a visual pamphlet—like a story or pictures—can help patients understand why it's important to finish their antibiotics. There are two groups in the study: one will get the visual pamphlet, and the other will receive regular care without the pamphlet. The goal is to find out if this visual approach can help patients take their medications as prescribed, which could lead to better health and reduce the problem of antibiotic resistance.

To participate in the trial, you need to be an adult aged 18 or older with a confirmed diagnosis of an uncomplicated UTI and have been prescribed oral antibiotics. It's important that you are able to follow up with the study and give your consent to be involved. However, if you have a complicated UTI, certain health conditions, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, you may not be eligible to join. If you decide to participate, you can expect to receive either the pamphlet or routine care and will help researchers understand how this new method can improve antibiotic adherence.
