ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the experiences of teenagers aged 12 to 18 who struggle with depression and may also engage in non-suicidal self-injury, which means harming themselves without the intent to end their life. The goal is to better understand the social and psychological factors that affect these young people. The study will include 90 participants, divided into three groups: those with non-suicidal self-injury, those with depression but no self-injury, and a healthy control group for comparison.
To participate, teens must meet certain criteria, such as having a diagnosis of emotional or behavioral disorders related to their age and showing signs of non-suicidal self-injury. They should not have severe physical illnesses or other major mental health disorders that would prevent their participation. The study is currently not recruiting participants, but once it starts, those involved can expect to share their experiences and feelings in a supportive environment aimed at improving understanding and treatment options for their conditions.
