ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying two different surgical approaches for women with inguinal hernias, which are bulges in the groin area. The researchers want to find out if keeping the uterine round ligament intact during laparoscopic surgery (a less invasive method using small incisions) is better than removing it. They will look at how long the surgery takes, how often hernias come back after surgery, how patients feel about their quality of life afterward, and other recovery indicators.

To participate in this study, women must be over 18 years old and diagnosed with a unilateral inguinal hernia (meaning it’s only on one side). They should not have severe health issues or be pregnant or breastfeeding. If eligible and willing, participants will sign a consent form to take part in the trial. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to help improve surgical options for women facing this common condition.
