ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called HCC Innervation Assessment, is focused on studying how nerve connections in and around tumors affect patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), a type of primary liver cancer. The goal is to better understand these nerve connections in patients who are undergoing surgery to remove their liver tumors or who are receiving liver transplants. By examining these nerves, researchers hope to find new ways to classify and treat HCC, which can vary greatly from one patient to another.
To participate in this trial, you must be an adult with HCC who is having surgery or a transplant, regardless of whether you have received treatment before. Unfortunately, pregnant or breastfeeding women, minors, and individuals under legal protection cannot join. If you take part in this study, you can expect to provide information about your health and undergo assessments related to the nerve connections in your liver. The findings from this research may help improve treatment options for HCC in the future.
