ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective tele-consultations with nurses are for patients getting elective colonoscopies. A colonoscopy is a procedure used to check the health of your colon and can help in preventing colon cancer. The trial will look at how these tele-consultations may improve the quality of the colonoscopy, reduce anxiety related to the procedure, and lessen financial burdens for patients.
To participate, you need to be between 65 and 80 years old and eligible for outpatient colonoscopy for reasons like screening or follow-up after previous treatments. However, if you are under 18 or over 80, pregnant, have certain medical conditions, or cannot provide informed consent, you won’t be eligible. If you join the study, you will receive a tele-consultation before your procedure, and the researchers will assess how this affects your experience during the colonoscopy. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could help improve care for future patients.
