ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a technique called the rebozo, which is a traditional method from Latin America used during labor to help manage pain and anxiety. The trial aims to see how partner-assisted rebozo application affects women's fear of labor, pain levels, and overall satisfaction with the birthing experience. The World Health Organization supports using non-drug methods like this to make labor feel more natural and potentially reduce the need for cesarean sections.
To participate in this study, women must be at least 18 years old, having their first baby (not previous pregnancies), be at term (between 37 and 42 weeks), and be in active labor. They also need to be able to read and speak Turkish, and they must agree to take part alongside their partner. Women with certain health issues or complications in their pregnancy won’t be eligible. Participants can expect to learn and experience the rebozo technique during their labor, and the results of the study will help improve understanding of non-drug pain management options for childbirth.
