Telemonitoring Of Adl Homecare Services Ia

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new way to help older adults with dementia who receive home care services by using telemonitoring, which is a form of technology that allows caregivers to keep track of daily activities from a distance. The goal is to better understand how these individuals manage daily tasks, like cooking or moving around their homes, so that their care can be more personalized and effective. With many older adults waiting for home care services in Canada, this study aims to improve how resources are used and ensure that the right help is provided at the right time.

To participate in this trial, individuals must be over 65 years old, have cognitive deficits (like those seen in dementia), live alone at home, and currently receive home care services. There are no specific exclusions, so if you meet these criteria and speak either French or English, you may be eligible. Participants will use a telemonitoring system to help track their daily activities, which could lead to improved care tailored to their needs. This research is an important step towards enhancing support for older adults in home care.
