ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment called pulsed radiofrequency (PRF) therapy for patients who have severe heel pain after suffering a calcaneal fracture, which is a break in the heel bone. The goal of the study is to see how effective this treatment is in reducing pain and improving foot function. Participants will be interviewed about their pain levels using a simple scale, and their overall foot health will be assessed through a scoring system.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must have a history of calcaneal fracture, experience ongoing pain rated higher than 5 on a 10-point scale, and have had this pain for more than three months. However, those with other foot problems, additional fractures, or certain medical conditions will not be able to participate. If you or a loved one meet these criteria and are interested, this trial could provide an opportunity to explore a new treatment option for heel pain following a fracture.
