ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at changes in the brain called dilated perivascular spaces (DPVS) in patients with two conditions: hypertensive arteriopathy (HA) and cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA). Both of these conditions affect the small blood vessels in the brain and can lead to issues like bleeding or damage in the brain. The researchers want to use a specific type of brain scan called a 3T MRI to compare the presence of DPVS in patients with HA and those with CAA, as this has not been studied in detail before.
To participate in this trial, you need to be a patient who has had certain types of brain bleeding related to either CAA or HA and has been treated at the CHU de Nîmes hospital in France between January 2015 and December 2024. As long as you meet these criteria and are willing to take part, you could be eligible. Participants will undergo a brain MRI scan to help researchers understand more about these conditions and how they affect the brain. This study aims to deepen our knowledge, which could eventually lead to better treatments for these common brain diseases.
