ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how combining education about pain and exercise might help people with neck pain. Researchers believe that learning specifically about how pain works, along with doing tailored exercises, can improve pain levels, reduce fear of movement, and enhance overall upper limb function. The trial will involve 81 participants who have non-specific neck pain and will compare three different approaches: education with exercise, exercise alone, and a placebo (a treatment with no active effect). The goal is to find out which method is most effective in helping individuals manage their pain and improve their physical abilities.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be between 18 and 65 years old and currently experiencing neck pain that scores at least 3 on a pain scale (where 0 is no pain and 10 is the worst pain imaginable). However, people who are pregnant, have severe medical conditions, or have received physiotherapy treatment in the last month cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect to take part in assessments of your pain and physical abilities, and you'll be assigned to one of the three treatment groups. This research hopes to provide valuable insights that could help doctors recommend better treatment plans for neck pain in the future.
