ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how certain markers related to heart and blood vessel health are affected in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) during a glucose tolerance test, which checks how the body handles sugar. The researchers want to understand if these markers change after treatments over six and twelve months. Essentially, they are looking into how PCOS might impact heart health and how different treatments might help improve that.
To participate in this study, women must be over 16 years old and have a diagnosis of PCOS based on specific criteria. They should not have received any treatment for PCOS in the last six months. Women with other medical conditions that could mimic PCOS, those who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, or those with certain other health issues like diabetes are not eligible to join. Participants can expect to undergo tests and monitoring related to their heart and blood vessel health, helping researchers learn more about how to manage PCOS effectively.
