ClinConnect Summary
The CLIMATE-III Observational Study is looking into how heat affects people with chronic illnesses, like heart disease, diabetes, and lung problems. Researchers want to understand if different factors, like how well patients manage their health and where they live, impact their experience with heat-related health issues. The study will involve participants from Germany and Italy, and it aims to gather important information to help improve care for these patients during hot weather.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be 18 years or older and have at least one of the specified health conditions, such as heart disease or diabetes. Unfortunately, people who cannot give consent, have severe vision problems, or struggle with the German language will not be able to join. If you participate, you can expect to share your experiences and thoughts about how heat affects your health, which could help shape future support for patients like you. This study is not yet recruiting, but it is an important step toward understanding the challenges faced by those with chronic illnesses in hot weather.
