Cannabis Use Young Adult Oral Fluid Testing

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new way to test for cannabis use by looking at saliva samples, which is a type of oral fluid testing. The goal is to see if this method can help track how often people use cannabis over time, and it will be done remotely. The researchers will invite 200 young adults, aged 18 to 30, who have used cannabis at least once a week in the past month. Participants will take part in three virtual visits where they will answer questions about their cannabis use, and they will also provide samples of saliva and urine to check for cannabis levels.

To be eligible for this study, participants need to be between 18 and 30 years old, have used cannabis regularly in the past month, and own a device like a smartphone or laptop that can connect for video calls. They should also be able to read and speak English and be available for about 2 to 3 weeks. During the study, participants will complete surveys and interviews and will be asked to take saliva tests at home over several days. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it could provide valuable insights into testing cannabis use in a non-invasive way.
