ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to study how competitive rowers adapt to intense training, focusing on their body’s appetite regulation, metabolism, and iron levels. By analyzing changes in hormones and biochemicals during the training process, researchers hope to gain insights into how these athletes' bodies cope with prolonged physical effort. The study includes 30 professional rowers from the Polish Youth Rowing Team, aged 19 to 24, who will participate in rowing performance tests at the beginning and end of a training camp to measure their progress.
To be eligible for this study, participants must agree to take part, be in regular training, have a recent medical check-up, and be in good health. They cannot have any injuries or health issues, and they should not have taken any anti-inflammatory drugs or supplements in the three months before the trial. During the study, blood samples will be taken from the athletes at different times to monitor their body's responses after exercise. This information could help improve training methods and overall athlete health.
