ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a special type of MRI called diffusion MRI to see how well it can help diagnose jaw muscle pain, specifically for people with a condition known as masticatory myofascial pain syndrome. The goal is to improve how doctors assess this type of pain, which can affect daily activities like eating and speaking.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 65 years old and able to give your consent to join. You should have symptoms that suggest you might have jaw muscle pain. However, there are some restrictions; for example, if you have certain metal implants, are pregnant, or have experienced recent trauma to the jaw, you may not be able to participate. If you join the study, you will undergo a diffusion MRI scan, which is a painless procedure that takes pictures of your jaw muscles. This research is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into diagnosing jaw pain more effectively in the future.
