ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "The FYI on MRI," is designed to help high-risk Black and Latina women make informed decisions about getting breast MRI screenings. The study will involve 80 women aged 40 to 74 who have a significant risk of developing breast cancer but have no personal history of the disease. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will receive standard care, which includes a risk assessment and a referral to a nurse practitioner, while the other group will receive additional support with a decision-making tool to help them understand their options better.
If you're a woman in the specified age range, identify as Black and/or Latina, and have received a mammogram recently, you might be eligible to join this trial. Over the course of the study, participants will be assessed at the start and again one month later to see how well they understand their choices regarding breast MRI screenings. This trial aims to empower women with the information they need to make the best decisions for their health.
