ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a dental treatment called intentional replantation (IR) for patients with single-rooted teeth that are severely affected by chronic periodontitis, a serious gum disease. The goal is to see how effective this treatment is in improving patients' symptoms, such as pain and swelling, and in promoting healing in the bone and gum tissues around the affected tooth. Researchers will use special imaging technology to look at changes in the bone before and after the treatment, and they will also gather feedback from patients about their satisfaction and quality of life.
To participate in this study, adults aged 18 to 70 who have a single-rooted tooth that has significant issues—like severe bone loss and extreme tooth mobility—may be eligible. Participants will undergo the replantation procedure and will be monitored for their recovery over nine months through check-ups and questionnaires. It's important to note that patients need to be committed to follow-up appointments and should prefer to keep their tooth through this treatment rather than opting for extraction. This research aims to provide valuable information about the effectiveness of intentional replantation for managing difficult dental conditions.
