ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of deep tissue massage (DTM) on people with asthma. The goal is to see if this type of massage can help improve breathing, reduce tension in the muscles used for breathing, and relieve common asthma symptoms like shortness of breath. Researchers believe that DTM might be more beneficial for asthma patients than regular massage. The study will involve two groups: one group will receive deep tissue massage, while the other will get standard massage. Before and after the massages, participants will have their breathing measured to see if there are any improvements.
To participate in this trial, individuals must have a diagnosis of bronchial asthma and be in stable health. They should be willing to give their consent to join the study. However, those with certain other health issues, recent chest surgeries, or specific conditions that could interfere with the results will not be eligible. This study has not started recruiting participants yet, but it aims to explore a new way to support asthma treatment through massage therapy.
