ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the Otago Exercise Program, which focuses on improving balance, endurance, and motor coordination in preschool children aged 3 to 6 years old. The goal is to help young children develop essential movement skills that will support their physical health and encourage them to stay active throughout their lives. The trial will involve two groups: one group will participate in a special exercise program that includes a variety of fun and engaging activities, while the other group will focus on basic balance exercises.
To be eligible for the study, children must be between 3 and 6 years old, able to engage in the exercises, and have a guardian's consent. However, children with certain health conditions, such as orthopedic issues or developmental delays, will not be included. Participants can expect to attend three exercise sessions each week for 12 weeks, with each session lasting about 40-45 minutes. The outcomes of the trial will be measured using simple tests that assess balance and coordination. This research aims to establish a solid foundation for healthy physical activity habits in young children, helping to prevent obesity and promote overall well-being.
