ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how combining a specific type of exercise with a diet plan called intermittent fasting can help improve eye dryness in people who have psoriasis, are pre-diabetic, and are struggling with obesity. Intermittent fasting involves cycling between periods of eating and not eating, and it's believed that this can help with not just eye dryness, but also weight and blood sugar levels. The trial is exploring whether adding pyramidal exercise—structured workouts that gradually increase in intensity—can make the benefits of intermittent fasting even better.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must have chronic plaque psoriasis, be classified as obese (but not severely), be pre-diabetic, and experience dryness in both eyes. Unfortunately, individuals with certain health issues like heart or respiratory problems, as well as those who are diabetic or have conditions affecting the kidneys or liver, cannot participate. If you join the study, you'll be helping researchers understand how these approaches can improve quality of life for people dealing with these interconnected health issues.
