ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a program called iTRAC-HERO, which aims to help young people learn how to manage their emotions better, especially in relation to sexual health. The goal is to teach important skills that can help 7th graders make safer choices about risky sexual behavior and improve their overall emotional well-being. The program is designed for students who are attending 7th grade and are between the ages of 12 and 14, and it is open to all genders. To participate, children need to have a parent or guardian who speaks either English or Spanish and must be enrolled in a school that is part of the study.
Participants can expect to engage in activities and discussions that help them understand and regulate their emotions while learning about sexual health. It's important to note that students who have a sibling already involved in the study, those who cannot read at a 4th-grade level, or those with certain developmental disorders are not eligible to join. This study is currently looking for participants, and it could be a valuable opportunity for young people to gain skills that will benefit them in many areas of their lives.
