ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at two different ways to help people with bruxism, which is a condition where individuals grind or clench their teeth, often causing pain and discomfort. The study will compare the use of a technique called electromyography (EMG) biofeedback, which helps patients learn to relax their jaw muscles, with traditional medication for managing muscle tightness and pain. The aim is to see which method works better for reducing muscle tension in the jaw.

To participate in this study, you need to be an adult aged between 30 and 65 who has been diagnosed with mild to moderate bruxism by a dentist. You should also experience some tenderness in your jaw muscles and mild pain around your jaw joint, especially in the morning. However, certain conditions may prevent you from joining, such as recent Botox treatments, advanced gum disease, or if you are pregnant. If you decide to participate, you will receive specific treatments and be monitored throughout the study to help improve your symptoms.
