ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called Project SOLVE, is exploring how an online program can help improve problem-solving skills in young people in New Zealand. Many adolescents face challenges when it comes to their mental health, and this trial aims to see if a digital intervention can make it easier for them to get the support they need. Participants will be compared with another group that is learning study skills, to see which approach is more effective in promoting better mental health outcomes.
To be eligible for this study, students in Year 9, aged 12 to 14 years old, at participating schools can join if they agree to take part. Parents or caregivers will also need to give their permission. Participants will engage in the online program and will have the opportunity to develop skills that could help them cope with feelings of distress. This trial is important because it seeks to provide young people with accessible tools to manage their mental health and improve their overall well-being.
