ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new treatment approach for people suffering from back pain and other spinal issues. The treatment combines physical exercise, graded activity (which means gradually increasing activity levels), and pain journaling (keeping track of pain levels and triggers) all through a mobile app. This pilot study aims to see if using this app can help improve patients' pain management, physical function, and overall well-being compared to traditional methods like physical therapy and lifestyle advice.
To participate, individuals must be at least 18 years old and visiting the spine center at Zuyderland Medical Centre, experiencing spinal complaints that would typically require physical therapy or lifestyle changes. They should also be comfortable using a mobile app. Participants can expect to provide feedback about their experience with the app after three months and will also be assessed on their quality of life, pain levels, and any changes in disability. Since the treatment involves established methods that are generally safe, the risks are minimal, and the potential benefits include better pain control and improved physical activity.
