ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different ways to help people with ankle instability, specifically those who have had a type of surgery called MBR for chronic lateral ankle instability (CLAI). The researchers want to find out if adding a special suture tape to the surgery makes the ankle stronger and helps prevent problems after the operation, especially for people who have a condition called generalized joint laxity (GJL), which makes their joints more flexible and prone to instability.
To be part of the study, participants need to be between 18 and 60 years old and have been diagnosed with lateral ankle instability, along with a specific score that indicates their joint looseness. Unfortunately, people with recent injuries, certain ligament injuries, or more serious joint issues won’t be able to join. Those who participate can expect to be monitored throughout the study to see how well the different surgical methods work. The trial is currently looking for volunteers, and all genders are welcome to apply.
