ClinConnect Summary
The clinical trial titled "ACT for Mental Health in Neurological Disorders" is looking at how a specific therapy can help improve mental health in people dealing with various neurological conditions, including those recovering from COVID-19. These conditions can make it hard for individuals to think clearly and participate socially, which might affect how well therapy works for them. The main focus of the study is to see if this therapy helps improve mental health and whether better thinking skills can lead to more social engagement after the therapy sessions. Participants will join 8 group sessions, each lasting 100 minutes.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and show signs of depression, anxiety, or stress based on specific scores. They also need to have enough cognitive ability and motivation for therapy. Unfortunately, those with serious behavioral issues or other major mental health disorders cannot participate. If you or a loved one fits the criteria, you may benefit from this therapy while contributing to important research.
