ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into the effects of two treatments—Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy and Complex Decongestive Therapy—on women with lipedema, a condition that causes painful swelling in the legs and arms. The goal is to see how well these treatments help with the symptoms of lipedema, which can be quite challenging to manage.
To join the trial, participants must be women aged 18 or older who have been diagnosed with lipedema, specifically types 1, 2, or 3, and stages 1, 2, or 3 of the condition. Unfortunately, women with certain health issues, previous surgeries for lipedema, or infections in the legs are not eligible. Those who take part can expect to receive one of the therapies and will be monitored to assess the results. This study is currently recruiting participants, so it's a great opportunity for those who meet the criteria to explore new treatment options for their condition.
