ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of using a tennis ball for sacral massage to help manage pain and improve comfort during labor. Labor can be very painful, and this study aims to explore whether this specific type of massage can make the experience more pleasant for women in labor.
To participate in this study, women must be over 18 years old, able to read and write in Turkish, and having their first baby (primiparous) with a single baby positioned head-down. They should be at full term in their pregnancy (between 37 to 42 weeks) and in the active phase of labor. Participants should not have any chronic health issues or any diagnosed mental health conditions. Women who choose to leave the study or receive pain relief medication during labor won’t be eligible. If you meet these criteria and are looking for ways to manage labor pain, this study could be an opportunity to explore a new comfort technique during this important time.
