ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective a teaching method called the "jigsaw technique" is for helping nursing students learn about preventing and managing pressure ulcers, which are sores that can develop on the skin when someone is immobile for a long time. The researchers want to see if this method improves students' knowledge, attitudes, and confidence in managing pressure ulcers compared to traditional teaching methods.
To participate in this study, you need to be a 4th-year nursing student at Kütahya University who is enrolled in a specific nursing course. The trial will involve about 70 students who will be divided into two groups: one will use the jigsaw technique, while the other will receive traditional lectures. Participants will complete surveys before the training, right after, and again six weeks later to share what they've learned and how they feel about managing pressure ulcers. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to help improve nursing education and patient care in the future.
