ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how to best manage children with pancreatic duct stones, which are hard deposits that can form in the pancreas. The researchers want to compare two main treatments: a procedure called ERCP, which uses a camera to help remove the stones, and surgery, to see which is more effective and when surgery should be done if kids have had multiple ERCPs. The goal is to find ways to treat these stones while minimizing any harm to the surrounding areas.
To participate in this study, children must be between 0 to 18 years old and have been diagnosed with pancreatic duct stones through imaging tests like ultrasound or CT scans. They should have received care at the pediatric surgery department at West China Hospital from 2014 to 2025. If a child has had certain previous surgeries or has serious health issues, they may not be eligible. Overall, the study aims to gather important information that could improve treatment options for kids with this condition in the future.
