ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a home-based exercise program designed to improve muscle power and balance in older adults. Muscle power is important for everyday activities and helps prevent falls, which can lead to serious injuries. The researchers want to see if a program that involves exercises targeting the legs can help older adults improve their muscle strength and balance while they exercise at home.
To participate, you must be between 65 and 80 years old, living independently, and able to use a smartphone. If you have had a recent injury to your legs or certain health conditions, you may not be eligible. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will do the exercise program for eight weeks, while the other will continue their usual activities but receive health education. Throughout the trial, everyone will be monitored for improvements in muscle strength and balance. The goal is to see if this home-based training can help older adults stay active and reduce the risk of falls.
