ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how using glucose sensors can help pregnant women with type 2 diabetes manage their blood sugar better during pregnancy. The researchers want to find out if using these sensors can lead to better health outcomes for both the mothers and their babies, specifically by reducing blood sugar levels and improving birth weights. Participants in the trial will be women who are 18 years or older, have type 2 diabetes, and are attending specific centers in Denmark. They cannot already be using a continuous glucose monitor or be too far along in their pregnancy.
If you join the trial, you will use a glucose sensor from before you are 14 weeks pregnant until about 4-6 weeks after giving birth. You'll receive training on how to use the sensor and get ongoing support throughout the trial. After your baby is born, there will be a follow-up appointment to discuss your diabetes management moving forward. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how technology can improve the health of pregnant women with diabetes and their babies.
