ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Cognitive Function and Postoperative Quality of Recovery," is designed to explore how cognitive function (the ability to think and remember) before surgery affects how well patients recover afterward. Researchers want to understand if there is a connection between how well someone’s brain is functioning before their surgery and how smoothly their recovery goes after the procedure.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 65 years old and scheduled for elective (planned) non-cardiac surgery that lasts at least one hour. Participants will need to be able to understand the study and give their consent to participate. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, so it’s still in the planning stages. If you or a family member fits these criteria, joining this study could provide valuable insights into improving recovery experiences for older adults after surgery.
