ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to compare two types of artificial lenses used during cataract surgery for patients who are very nearsighted, a condition known as high myopia. The study will look at how well these lenses work after the surgery, specifically focusing on an extended depth of focus lens (ICB00) and a standard monofocal lens (ZCB00). The goal is to find out which lens provides better vision outcomes for patients with this condition.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 40 and 70 years old and have a specific measurement of your eye called the ocular axis that is longer than 26mm. It's important that you can understand and follow instructions throughout the study. However, if you have certain conditions such as severe dry eye, specific eye diseases, or if you've had previous eye surgeries, you may not be eligible to join. If you decide to participate, you can expect regular follow-ups to monitor your recovery and vision after the surgery. This trial is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights for those with high myopia undergoing cataract surgery in the future.
