ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in children and teenagers aged 2 to 15 years who have a condition called congenital clubfoot. Clubfoot is a foot deformity that can affect how a child walks and plays. The researchers want to see how the treatment for clubfoot, mainly using a method called the Ponseti method, impacts the physical, emotional, and social well-being of these children over time. They will measure this using a special questionnaire and follow the children for up to five years to see how their quality of life and foot function change.

To participate in this study, children need to be diagnosed with congenital clubfoot and receiving treatment at Drammen Hospital. Both single and double foot cases are welcome, and parents or guardians must provide written consent for their child to join. However, children with serious medical or psychological issues that could affect the results of the study won’t be eligible. This trial is currently looking for participants, and it aims to provide valuable insights into how clubfoot treatment influences a child's overall quality of life as they grow.
